For this exercise I did some sketches of parts of the body in my life drawing class, and found it difficult to isolate my vision and draw just single parts of a body, my tendency was to look at the whole figure and include body parts connected to the part I was trying to draw. Using a viewfinder was a great help in this regard, and I became aware that I have more difficulty drawing legs – which I can also see in my other exercises now, so I think I need more practice in this area.

I also looked at books on how to draw figures, and books with studies of body muscle which I tried to replicate in my sketchbook, and show below some examples of the sketches I did.
