Joy; for this I played happy background music and my marks were more energetic.
Being constrained to a single colour made me focus more on the marks I was making, and I realised that I was doing just curved marks and began to question whether I should try to make straighter lines.
In the bottom right I attempted to draw some negative space, and the result resembled a 4-leaf clover without consciously trying to do so.
In the bottom left I used ultramarine blue ink applied with a wooden stick, and in contrast to the marker pen in the ‘Calm’ exercise, even though the marks in ink with the stick were still quite thin, they were more fluid and more attractive.
