Broken or tertiary colours

1. Orange to Green – for Orange: Lemon Yellow and Cadmium Yellow plus Cadmium Red with Alizarin Crimson, and for Green: Prussian Blue and Lemon Yellow

2. Blue to Orange - Ultramarine Blue, and for Orange: Lemon Yellow and Cadmium Yellow plus Cadmium Red with Alizarin Crimson

3: Green to Violet – for Green: Prussian Blue and Lemon Yellow, and Violet: Cadmium Red with Alizarin Crimson plus Prussian Blue

In all three cases the result in the middle is quite brownish: the first and second strips are a warmer brownish colour and the third, although still toward the green side is a cooler brown.
